Located in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Sar Pass is considered the ideal trek for beginners craving an alpine adventure. The trail is beautifully diverse, taking you through thick pine forests, majestic alpine meadows, and finally across thrilling snow patches near the pass.
The term 'Sar' means lake in the local dialect. You traverse a frozen lake on your way to the top. The highlight of the Sar Pass trek is the exhilarating 100-foot snow slide down the slope after crossing the pass—a thrilling memory you will cherish forever.
Arrive at Kasol (6,500 ft). Spend the day acclimatizing, doing a short familiarization hike, and relaxing beside the roaring Parvati River.
