Often referred to as the 'Valley of Gods', the Har Ki Dun trek is steeped in Hindu mythology. It is believed to be the path taken by the Pandavas on their ascent to heaven. The trek is a beautiful walk through some of the oldest Himalayan villages and dense, ancient forests.
The trail offers mesmerizing views of the Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak mountain ranges. From beautifully carved wooden houses in Osla to the expansive meadows at Har Ki Dun, the journey is an immersive cultural and natural experience, suitable for beginners and seasoned trekkers alike.
Drive from Dehradun to the beautiful base camp village of Sankri, located inside the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary.
Drive briefly to Taluka, then start a beautiful trek alongside the Supin river, eventually reaching Pauni Garaat.
Trek past the ancient, historically rich village of Osla before settling down at the scenic campsite of Kalkatiyadhaar.
Hike into the majestic Har Ki Dun valley, spend time exploring, and return to Kalkatiyadhaar by evening.
Descend back down the trail through the beautiful pine forests, catching sunset views on the way to camp.
Trek back to Taluka, drive to Sankri. On Day 7, take the long drive back to Dehradun, arriving by evening.
